Shepherd secures two new tenants for Aberdeen industrial estate

Acting on the instructions of Aberdeen City Council, Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has secured two new tenants for the Kirkhill Industrial Estate, Dyce, Aberdeen.

The 1,290 sq ft Unit 46 at Howemoss Avenue has been let to Fierce Beer, the only registered brewery in Aberdeen, at a rent of £14,200 pa on a three year lease, whilst the 2,570 sq ft Unit 47 has been let to Martyn Paul Fitness Centre at a rent of £25,250 pa on a five year lease.

Dave Grant of Fierce Beer said: “We are delighted to be setting up in Dyce. Our unit provides us with the ideal facility to brew our unique range of beers and the location is perfect for distribution due to the areas connectivity. The facility will allow us to increase production, which is a much needed requirement due to the high demand for our products.”

Martyn Paul of Martyn Paul Fitness Centre said: “I'm delighted to have secured the unit for opening a gym. I really feel a gym in the area will benefit so many. We'll have high quality equipment and some excellent fitness classes on offer for our members, along with an on-site physio, fully qualified personal trainers and nutrition specialists”

James Morrison, associate – commercial agency at Shepherd in Aberdeen, added: “We’re delighted to conclude these two lettings at Kirkhill Industrial Estate on behalf of Aberdeen City Council. Historically, these uses were often overlooked by landlords however in a changing market landlords need to look outside of the box to alternative uses and Aberdeen City Council were more than willing to accommodate in order to grow two local businesses.

“Several other units remain available to let within the development, which comprises 21 industrial units within a fully developed scheme incorporating ample car parking.”
