Rebecca Long-Bailey, shadow secretary of state for business, energy and industrial strategy, visited Aberdeen today (Friday May 18) to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the oil and gas sector.
Along with North-east MSP Lewis Macdonald, the shadow secretary met with Deirdre Michie, CEO of Oil & Gas UK, and a number of business leaders to learn more about the current and future focus for the sector.
The visit was hosted by predictive technology specialists, OPEX Group, who recently won the Oil & Gas UK Award for Business Innovation. During the visit OPEX’s team highlighted how technology and innovation is playing a key part in supporting the industry.
