Six more side-splitting comedians have been added to the bill for the Aberdeen International Comedy Festival, which returns to the city from October 6th.

Added to the star-studded line-up is the self-depreciating Brennan Reece, much-loved Hal Cruttenden, effortlessly funny Jojo Sutherland, the hysterical Liam Withnail, gleefully obscene Olga Koch and Glaswegian funny boys ‘Weegie Hink Ae That?

Commenting on the announcement, Shona Byrne, Festival Manager for Aberdeen Inspired, said: “We are pulling together a phenomenal line-up of top comedians for this year’s festival and these six sensational comedians add even greater appeal to the line-up. Many of these shows will debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in August and it’s wonderful that the festival is appealing to such ground-breaking acts and recognised as a firm favourite with comedians and audiences alike.

“Aberdeen is developing a strong reputation as destination of choice for visitors through presenting festivals and events like this and we look forward to welcoming thousands of fun-loving comedy fans to the granite city this October.”

Debuting at the festival with his powerfully entertaining show Crowded, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Brennan Reece will take to the stage at Tunnels on Wednesday 12 October. After a couple of years of isolation, Brennan is ready to reconnect with real life humans in this brand-new hour of hilarious stories, heart-breaking tales and exceptional crowd work.

Returning to the festival with his new show It’s Best You Hear It From Me at OGV Podium is the fantastically funny Hal Cruttenden on Saturday 15 October. After 21 years and 224 days Hal's back being single. But it's all going to be fine. Instead of getting the therapy he clearly needs, he's made a cracking show about it. He's lost enough weight to almost get his wedding ring off and, while he may be flying solo, he's far from alone; he's got his grown-up daughters, his dogs, and his divorce lawyer.

Join Jojo Sutherland for her brand-new show, Growing Old Disgracefully, at Spin on Saturday 8 October. Life begins at 56 and 3/4s – having raised four kids and divorced twice, Jojo is starting life all over again with the emphasis on living and Don't Stop Me Now as her funeral music. The road ahead is uncertain, but she has many a story to tell about her journey.

Festival favourite Liam Withnail will bring the spice with his show Hot Sauce on Friday 14 October at the Park Inn by Radisson. With over 10 million views on TikTok and Instagram and winner of Amused Moose's Outstanding Show Award, Edinburgh Fringe 2019. Scottish Comedy Award winner and multi-nominee, you won’t want to miss Liam’s show.

After previously supporting Gary Meikle in Aberdeen earlier this year, comedy trio Weegie Hink Ae That? will have you laughing with fast-paced, witty comedy with clever twists on Scottish culture at Spin on Saturday 15 October. From sketches to songs about all things Scottish, come see these wee comical do what they do best. Starring Gregor Mackay, Conor Hardie and Elliot Hanigan, the boys have proved an undeniable hit both on stage and online having sold out Edinburgh Fringe runs and performed as headline club acts along with producing numerous viral sketches via BBC Scotland.

Star of Mock The Week, QI, Late Night Mash, Frankie Boyle's New World Order and Edinburgh Best Newcomer nominee, Olga Koch brings you the roller coaster romcom, Just Friends, you aren't tall enough to ride. Strap in and join Olga at the Lemon Tree Studio on Friday 14 October.

The Aberdeen International Comedy Festival will run at a multitude of city venues, bars and clubs over the course of 11 days from Thursday 6 October until Sunday 16 October 2022. The festival has been organised and promoted in its entirety by Aberdeen Inspired since 2016.

These comedians join a line-up of 24 other comedians already announced including David O’Doherty who will open the Aberdeen International Comedy Festival on October 6 and Milton Jones who will close it on October 16.
