The ANM Group is announcing two senior management level promotions to further strengthen its position as one of the UK’s leading farming, food and finance co-operatives.
Mark Barrack and Alan Hutcheon have been promoted internally to develop the agricultural, commercial and industrial auctioneering and valuation services being delivered from the progressively diverse and growing business. The recent announcement is in recognition of the hard work and specialist skills development of these two key members of staff with over 65 years’ experience between them.
Mr Barrack's promotion from Senior Auctioneer and Valuer to Head of Specialist Auctions reflects his contribution to the Thainstone Specialist Auctions (TSA) division over the last 20 years. Mr Barrack joined the Group in 1987 and over time demonstrated a natural flare for auctioneering before joining the TSA team in 1995 to progress the twice-weekly vehicle sales; plant, machinery and equipment sales; insolvency auctions; and the professional valuations elements of the business to what they are today.

Mr Hutcheon’s new position as Auctions Operations Manager underlines his success over the last 36 years with the Aberdeen & Northern Marts division. Alan’s role involves managing the professional team of auctioneers and canvassers, facilitating the canvassing of cattle and sheep managers and maintaining strong connections with customers. The new position also includes a key role to develop and grow the division and seek out new business opportunities.
Alan Hutcheon said: “I am extremely proud to work for the Group; it really is in my blood and I am looking forward to being a big part of the continued growth of the Marts division.”
