Two key internal promotions have been announced by leading North-east housebuilder Cala, as it continues its success in the region.

Fraser Carr has been promoted to the role of regional director for Cala Homes (North) with Fraser McCallum named head of sales and marketing.

Fraser Carr was previously sales and marketing director at the company for more than ten years, and Fraser McCallum was sales manager for more than six years.

Continuing success in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire through four new site launches and securing further land acquisitions, while maintaining focus on exceptional customer service and nurturing the team, are key priorities for Fraser Carr as he takes on his new role.

He said: “It is an exciting time at Cala North as we commence work on four new sites which will come to life in the coming months, and work starting on a fifth development in Inverurie later this year.

“A quarter of all new homes completed in the region last year were built by Cala and our team is proactively looking to invest in new opportunities to continue this momentum in 2025 and beyond.

“We’ll also be marking our 150th anniversary this year. Cala was founded right here in 1875, as the City of Aberdeen Land Association, and it’s always been a privilege to represent this region and celebrate Cala’s long history in the area.

“Continuing to develop a strong team here in Aberdeen, through progressing and retaining talent, has been a key focus in recent months and I am particularly pleased to see Fraser McCallum taking on the role of head of sales and marketing, after thriving as our sales manager.”

Kevin Whitaker, chief executive officer of Cala, said: “Cala began in Aberdeen and continues to be a significant contributor of new homes and proud supporter of communities across the region. Fraser’s experience and in-depth knowledge of the sector in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, with his passion for providing outstanding new homes and exceptional service for our customers, make him the ideal leader of our North business.”

Cala Homes (North) currently has eight live developments across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire including its flagship sites Oldfold Village in Milltimber and Craibstone Estate in Bucksburn.

It has recently started work on four new projects across sites at Oldfold Village, Upper Lochton in Banchory, and Grandhome and Silverburn, both in Bridge of Don.

Planning permission for a second phase of homes at Conglass in Inverurie has also been approved with work beginning later in the year.
