The result of the Scottish Parliament election in the Aberdeen Central constituency was as follows:

Aberdeen Central: electorate 57,195; total valid votes cast 26,704; turnout 46.93%.

  • Lewis MACDONALD, Scottish Labour Party, 7,299 votes
  • Tom MASON, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, 6,022 votes
  • Ken MCLEOD, Scottish Liberal Democrats, 1,735 votes
  • Kevin STEWART, Scottish National Party (SNP), 11,648 votes

Kevin Stewart was duly elected.

The number of ballot papers rejected was as follows:

  • lack of an official mark – 0
  • voting for more than one candidate – 16
  • writing or mark by which voter could be identified – 0
  • being unmarked or wholly void for uncertainty – 121
