Martin Barry has been appointed as co-chair of the Aberdeen real living wage action group.
Martin, a member of the Scottish Enterprise team in Aberdeen, has been involved in the development of the real Living Wage project in the city since its inception.
Now entering the final year of its three-year action plan, the group are looking to expand the project into Aberdeenshire alongside an updated action plan to increase the number of accredited employers and uplift wages to those currently being paid less than the real Living Wage.
One of Martin’s first tasks is to seek a private or third sector co-chair from a Living Wage accredited employer to work alongside him, and to increase employer representation on the group from across the region.
