Opportunities to provide paid six-month work experience placements will be outlined during at a Business Booster event later this week.

Aberdeen City Council has secured £1.15million to support people who have been out of work for 12 months or more into paid roles in public and third sector organisations.

The Long Term Unemployed (LTU) scheme, funded by Scottish Government and delivered by the ABZWorks employability team, seeks to boost employment opportunities and enhance skill levels for Aberdeen residents aged 25 and over.

The scheme covers wage, national insurance, and pension costs at living wage rate for up to 30 hours per week for six months, or on a part-time basis until 31 March 2023.

This Business Booster, which takes place from 2-3pm on Wednesday June 22, is a free online session for all public and third sector decision-makers, hiring managers and HR teams. To book your place, register here
