Scarf has secured an extension to the contract to deliver the Scottish Government’s Home Energy Scotland advice service to householders in the North-east.
Scarf – celebrating its 30th year - was awarded the contract to March 2018 by the Energy Saving Trust – who manage the advice network across Scotland.
Thane Lawrie, Scarf Chief Executive, said: “This is fantastic news and is a result of the great work being done by all staff in the organisation. There is no doubt that our work is valued and that we are recognised as a centre that is performing well. A huge well done to everyone involved.
The Energy Saving Trust’s Scotland-wide advice network was launched in 2008, and through the service we helped nearly 15,000 people in the north east reduce their energy use and fuel spend in 2014-15 alone.
HES offers free and impartial advice to householders and organisations to help them and their properties become more energy efficient, in an effort to reduce energy use, fuel spend and carbon emissions.
Advice is also available on renewable technologies, sustainable transport and water.
