In the firm's latest guide to assist business ratepayers, Ryden has published an updated glossary of business rates terms with their meanings on its website.
Partner Tim Bunker, rating expert at Ryden said: "We know from experience that business rates terminology can be confusing for ratepayers; there's a lot of jargon and things like available reliefs, named documents etc can vary between Scotland and England. We have prepared a summary to help people cut through the mixed messages as the 2017 Revaluation approaches."
