Ross Safety & Survival, a leading specialist in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety solutions for the energy sector, has relocated to a significantly larger facility in Aberdeen as part of its ongoing expansion and commitment to delivering high-quality safety services.
Relocating from Gateway Business Park to Unit 2, Aberdeen One Logistics Park, Crawpeel Road, Aberdeen, within Altens Industrial Estate, the new premises encompass 28,647 sq ft of state-of-the-art warehouse and office space, with an additional 45,843 sq ft yard area to accommodate expanded operations. The new facility includes onsite manufacturer-approved testing, inspection, repair and laundering of life-saving equipment, including lifejackets, Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) and immersion suits, as well as branding and customisation options. Work on the facility began in August 2024, and this relocation marks the largest letting in Aberdeen this year, secured through Aberdeen One Property Limited.
Martin Ross, managing director of Ross Safety & Survival, comments: “This move is a major milestone for Ross Safety & Survival as we continue to invest in Aberdeen and expand our capabilities to serve our clients more effectively. The new facility allows us to enhance our service offerings and strengthen our position as a trusted provider of safety solutions to the energy sector. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our customers, supply partners, and dedicated team—without them, this growth wouldn’t be possible.”
Ross Safety & Survival strengthens its Aberdeen roots with seven-figure investment in new Altens Industrial Estate headquarters.
The expansion has been made possible with funding support from the Energy Transition Zone (ETZ), which played a pivotal role in securing the tenancy. The ETZ funding, via its Property Improvement Fund (PIF), enabled a significant refurbishment of the Crawpeel Road site, ensuring a modern, purpose-built environment for Ross Safety & Survival’s operations.
David Milne, General Manager, adds: “Our new premises is a reflection of our long-term commitment to both our customers and employees. The investment in this facility ensures we have the capacity and infrastructure to support our growth while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service.”
Ross Safety & Survival’s move follows a period of sustained growth, including the launch of a new facility in Houston, Texas, in August 2024. This strategic expansion strengthens the company’s ability to support clients across North and South America.
Led by Richard Craig, general manager for the Americas, the Houston facility holds stock of head-to-toe PPE, working-at-height equipment, and marine safety equipment, ensuring the company can meet the immediate needs of customers across the region. Since its opening, the Houston operation has already supplied clients from Texas and New York to Louisiana, Mississippi, and internationally to Trinidad, Mexico, and Guyana.
Martin Ross concluded: “The expansion into Houston, alongside our move to a larger Aberdeen headquarters, is part of a broader strategy to ensure we continue to deliver outstanding service to our customers worldwide. By investing in both infrastructure and people, we are positioning Ross Safety & Survival to support our customers and drive continued growth in the years ahead.”
