With just two weeks’ until Clan Cancer Support’s circus themed ball, the charity has launched its silent auction for the event.
More than 70 items are available; including a signed Gothenburg Greats framed print, a champagne afternoon tea and art tour for two at The Fife Arms and a ruby necklace from Sheila Fleet, with mystery items yet to be announced.
Starting bids range from £15 for signed Euro 2024 Scotland Squad memorabilia with top prizes including the opportunity to host your own corporate golf day at Meldrum House Golf Club.
Bidders have until 11pm on Saturday, September 28, to place an offer on the items with all proceeds going towards providing vital services for people affected by cancer in the north-east, Moray, Shetland and Orkney.
Ruth McIntosh, Clan’s business development manager, said: “We have a brilliant selection of items in this year’s auction for every budget. It’s the perfect opportunity to bag a unique experience or gift and support local people impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has donated auction items this year and would urge people to keep their eyes peeled for new items which will be uploaded as we get closer to the event – the countdown is on!”
The event, sponsored by Stork, promises to deliver the magic and wonder of the circus with fire breathing, stilt walkers and a trapeze artist performing under a Big Top at Aberdeen’s Beach Ballroom.
Award-winning performer Des Clarke will take on the role of ringmaster and will host the charity’s flagship fundraiser with entertainment from popular local function band Glitz.
Guests will enjoy a three-course meal and drinks reception, with more than 100 prizes up for grabs throughout the evening at the tombola table, as well as exclusive live auction items.
