Rogue Invitational, the annual three-day CrossFit and Strongman competition organised by Rogue Fitness, will return to Aberdeen’s P&J Live for the second year running, with event dates announced as October 31 to November 2 2025.

This follows the significant success of the 2024 event, the first to be held outside the USA, with 15,000 ticket sales and record media content results.

Attracting visitors from 39 different countries, and a 700-strong contingent of operations staff, athletes, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and vendors to Aberdeen, the event generated an estimated visitor spend of £3.9million to the local economy.

In terms of media coverage, the 2024 Rogue Invitational attracted more than 4million live stream viewers and more than 18million views across social media platforms, with fans watching on as the world’s best athletes battled it out to win a share of the $1.8million prize purse.

Rob Wicks, managing director of P&J Live in Aberdeen, said: “The Rogue Invitational was one of last year’s stand-outs, showcasing our capabilities to a global audience. Naturally, we are delighted to have secured the event again, being one of only a handful of UK venues with the expertise and versatility to make it a success and with the capability to accommodate the event’s complex requirements.

“The venue’s upward trajectory is being driven by a varied and unique calendar of events and the Rogue Invitational has made a tremendously important contribution to cementing that approach. It’s also been hugely encouraging to see the impact of the visitor spend in the regional economy, supporting local hoteliers, restauranteurs and many other local businesses.”

Caity Matter Henniger, chief sales officer at Rogue Fitness, said: “We had an amazing time in Aberdeen last year and I couldn’t speak more highly of the venue, the city or the country and we are thrilled to be coming back. Last year we were able to integrate Scottish culture into the event, such as presenting competitors with their own unique Rogue tartan kilt, handcrafted by a local supplier, and programming our replicas of the legendary Inver Stones into the competition.

“If fans are looking for a memorable atmosphere and the chance to see some of the best strength athletes compete in person, then make sure to sign up for more information on when this year’s tickets will be released.”

Aberdeen councillor Alex McLellan said: “We are thrilled to welcome the Rogue Invitational back to Aberdeen in 2025. This exciting competition was hugely popular last year and gives us the opportunity to again showcase our vibrant city to fans and competitors from across the world. We look forward to the entertainment and economic benefits Rogue will bring to our community.”

Competitors in the 2024 Rogue Invitational included Iceland’s Hafthor “Thor” Bjornsson, The Scottish Stoltman brothers and CrossFit games winners Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Jeff Adler.
