Richard Irvin Energy Solutions is pleased to announce it has sold its Aberdeen Radiators business to G&M Radiator Group for an undisclosed sum. G&M Radiator Group are a Glasgow based manufacturing business specialising in the radiator market.

The sale of the Aberdeen Radiators business supports Richard Irvin’s strategy to focus on continued growth in its core markets of Mechanical & Electrical, Facilities Management and Energy Management.

The company also sold its Marine Safety business in the Spring of this year.

William MacLean, Chief Executive of Richard Irvin commented on the sale:
‘The sale of the Aberdeen Radiator business is another strategic step in Richard Irvin’s long term strategy to focus on our core businesses where we are winning new business and continuing to invest and grow.

‘G&M Radiator Manufacturing Co Ltd has been a supplier to Aberdeen Radiators for many years now and they know the market well. I am delighted that the well- known Aberdeen Radiators brand will continue and our existing small team based in Aberdeen will transfer with the business."

John Blake, Director of G&M Radiator Group also commented:

"We are delighted to acquire Aberdeen Radiators; a brand and business that are well-known and respected in the North East and offshore markets. The acquisition will bring our business immediate benefits of direct access to the offshore market from an Aberdeen base."

All Richard Irvin staff members will transfer as part of the deal, George Duncan, General Manager with many years of experience in the industry will continue in his role with Aberdeen Radiators.

Richard Irvin returned profit in the last financial year following management changes, new business development appointments and investment in new locations across the country. The company also announced £15m of new business wins in the summer.
