Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader, Douglas Lumsden, joined the team at the brand new Hilton Aberdeen TECA to officially mark the hotel’s opening on Friday, September 13.
More than 40 guests joined the ribbon-cutting celebrations at the stunning new hotel, which adjoins the multi-million pound P&J Live on The Event Complex Aberdeen.
The official ribbon-cutting comes just days after the hotel opened its doors to guests, revealing a host of exceptional facilities for both residents and non-residents.
As well as 200 outstanding rooms, including nine suites named after the region’s most famous sons and daughters, the luxury hotel boasts the elegant in-house restaurant, Quarter House Bar & Grill, as well as Cask and Crema bar and lounge for lighter bites, coffee, cocktails or night-caps.
The luxurious Devona Spa offers Aberdeen’s first range of Clarins spa treatments in sumptuous surroundings across four treatment rooms – as well as a Technogym fitness centre and dance studio, 20m heated indoor pool and whirlpool, sauna, steamroom, nail bar and stunning relaxation lounge.
Conferences for up to 90 guests are perfectly catered for within the stylish meeting spaces, whilst the expansive Executive Lounge with outdoor terrace overlooking the P&J Live piazza is ready to welcome Hilton Honors members.
Mark Leyland, general manager of Hilton Aberdeen TECA, said: “Hilton Aberdeen TECA has got off to a flying start, welcoming thousands of guests for Offshore Europe just days after opening its doors – so it’s great to take some time to officially mark the occasion and cut the ribbon on the property.
“We’re delighted to welcome Councillor Douglas Lumsden to help do the honours, as well as the rest of our guests.
“The team is exceptionally proud to bring Aberdeen’s only Hilton Hotels & Resorts property to the city in such a fantastic location, right at the heart of the thriving Event Complex Aberdeen and side-by-side with P&J Live. Our first guests have given us fantastic feedback, so we cannot wait to welcome those set to stay with us in future.”
Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Douglas Lumsden said: “It’s fantastic to be here at the official opening of the Hilton at TECA, just a week after Offshore Europe was held at the largest new entertainment venue in Europe next door at P&J Live.
“The entire site will serve the residents of the city as well as attracting delegates and tourists from home and abroad as a central strand of our Regional Economic Strategy and its key aims of increasing diversification, internationalisation, and inclusive economic growth.
“The significant investment being made by Aberdeen City Council, both in infrastructure and in culture through our innovative Aberdeen 365 events programme, is changing the city and region’s outlook and we welcome a prestigious and international brand such as Hilton to TECA which will complement the world-class facility at P&J Live.”
Hilton Aberdeen TECA is operated by RBH, the UK’s leading independent hotel management company.
