Robert Gordon University (RGU) will soon host its last Discovery Day of the year as it welcomes hundreds of undergraduate prospective students and applicants to its campus to learn more about life at the university.
Taking place on Saturday 10 May from 10am – 2pm, the event is an opportunity to hear from current staff and students on particular courses and explore all the state-of-the-art facilities ahead of the September 2025 undergraduate intake.
Discovery Days offer applicants that have chosen RGU as one of their top choices to gain further insight before making their final decision. The popular on-campus event is also open to those who are yet to apply to study at RGU. Over 300 prospective students, applicants and their parents/carers attended the previous event, contributing towards a 20% year on year rise.
Talking at the upcoming Discovery Day will be Emma Forster, director of student recruitment, access and admissions. She said: “Attending a Discovery Day gives a true sense of what life as an RGU student is like. We want our visitors to really see first-hand our great facilities; talk to our lecturers about the huge range of courses we have; and meet in-person all the staff committed to supporting our students. You can read all about we have to offer, but it’s much better to experience it!”
Many students who will join RGU for the first time in September will be part of some of the University’s newest courses. BDes (Hons) Interior Design, LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology, LLB (Hons) Law with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and BSc (Hons) Games Design have all recently been added as new courses as RGU’s portfolio continues to grow and modernise, adapting to what is a changing landscape in students’ needs and wants.
Anyone considering joining RGU for an undergraduate course as well as their parents, carers and supporters can still register to attend the 10 May event. If the date is not convenient for you or your party then campus visits and tours can be arranged separately and are flexible to suit your needs.
