Robert Gordon University (RGU) will hold two Undergraduate Open Days in October for prospective students to learn more about the wide range of degree level courses available to them.
The free events will take place on Saturday, October 3 from 10am to 2pm and Wednesday and October 7 from 10am to 3pm at the university’s Garthdee campus.
Each of RGU's three faculties will be present at both days with representatives on hand from courses including computing, engineering and life sciences to business, surveying, law, social work, art and design and nursing.
Members of staff and current students will be available to discuss courses, talk about finance, careers, services and facilities and answer questions on how to apply.
Jeannie Price, RGU’s senior marketing officer, said: “Our open days are your chance to experience the university's stunning campus, learn more about our courses and find out why we are the top university for graduate employment in the UK.
“You'll also be able to talk to staff about applications and student funding as well as find out where students live around Aberdeen and how they’ve adapted to student life since beginning their studies.”
Those who attend the open day will also have the opportunity to:
- Talk to a course leader about study opportunities on degree level courses
- Find out about routes to RGU, including the university’s relationships with local colleges
- Get information on the university’s scholarship and funding opportunities
- Have one-to-one guidance on careers, placements, student finance and admissions
Rickshaws will help ferry people around the campus and organisers have set up a photo booth Instagram competition to encourage people to post pictures online using #RGUOpenDay with the possibility of winning £150 worth of Amazon vouchers. There will also be a BBQ during the events.
