Robert Gordon University’s Aberdeen Business School is holding a placement fair to connect businesses with fresh minds of the future.
The placement fair is open to all businesses seeking business placement students, and all ABS students seeking placement opportunities.
ABS placements vary from 4 to 48 weeks and are a cost-effective solution to help your business connect with new talent. More than 700 employers have provided placements for RGU in recent years which has resulted in over 90% of RGU undergraduate courses now incorporating a placement.
Lisa Dunn, Placement Manager at RGU, said: “A significant factor in RGU’s success in graduate employability can be attributed to our integral placement programmes.
We have excellent relationships with placement hosts across the world, as attributed by one of our International Business Management undergraduate students, Alexandria Stasulli, recent experience on placement at LDM Global, a global accounting/law firm in Denver, Colorado.
We would encourage companies yet to experience the benefits of student placements to attend our October Placement Fair. It’s an opportunity to meet the placement team, engage with our undergraduate cohorts and network with other placement employers.”
Rita Marcella, Dean of Aberdeen Business School, said: “Aberdeen Business School’s courses are delivered by academics with relevant industry experience and we encourage working with industry through every discipline from accountancy to PR.
“Strong links with various sectors and the inclusion of placements and projects ensure that course content is relevant to industry requirements and graduates are effectively prepared for the workplace.
“Interaction with industry and offering practical experience through placements to the students is something which is really important in education.”
The Placement Fair will be held on Wednesday October 21 at The Sir Ian Wood Building, Garthdee, from 12-3pm. Organisations are invited to exhibit free of charge.
