Prospective students looking to develop new skills and enhance careers will get an opportunity to learn more about Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) wide portfolio of taught programmes at its latest Postgraduate Open Evening.
The free event will take place on Thursday, August 27 from 6pm to 8pm at The Sir Ian Wood Building located at RGU’s Garthdee campus in Aberdeen.
Each of RGU’s three faculties will be present with representatives on hand from postgraduate, online distance learning and part-time courses including computing, engineering and life sciences to business, surveying, law, social work, art and design and nursing.
Members of academic and support staff will be available to discuss courses, talk about finance, careers, services and facilities, and answer questions on how to apply.
Michael Greenhalgh, RGU’s interim director for marketing, communications and student recruitment, said: “Whether you have recently graduated, are looking to gain professional accreditation, retrain, or enhance your skill set, developing your knowledge and expertise within a specific field will increase your employability within the current competitive jobs market.
“RGU offers industry relevant programmes from short courses and undergraduate degrees, to masters and MBAs which take advantage of the university's wide range of expertise in subjects including engineering, business, management, IT and health and safety.
“Our Postgraduate Open Evening provides an opportunity for individuals to get a better insight of the various programmes on offer and talk to the experts, helping to clarify your options and plan your next step to enhance your career.”
Those who attend the open evening will also have the opportunity to:
- Talk to a course leader about course options
- Get information on all of RGU’s scholarship and funding opportunities
- One-to-one guidance with Careers, Placement, Student Finance and Admissions drop in desks
