Robert Gordon University's (RGU) Careers and Employability Centre is holding its annual Part-Time Jobs Fair for students this month.
The fair, which is taking place on Wednesday, September 30 at RGU’s Garthdee campus, supports new and returning students to find opportunities for part-time work and offers businesses the opportunity to meet with and attract employees.
Students will be able to find out about part-time jobs in the retail, hospitality, finance, leisure and care sectors at the fair, which will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm in RGU’s Sir Ian Wood Building at the east end of the campus.
More than 30 employers are set to exhibit at the fair this year, including First Aberdeen, Malmaison Hotel, Marks and Spencer, Royal Bank of Scotland, Sainsbury’s, Sport Aberdeen, The Hotel Collection and VSA.
The university's Careers and Employability Centre team will also be present to offer advice and guidance. The Careers and Employability Centre supports students to realise their future career aims following graduation, as well as helping them to find part-time work to support their finances and gain valuable work experience while studying.
Christine Buchanan, Dean of Students at RGU, said: "The cost of attending university is often met by students fulfilling a number of part-time posts allowing them to study and earn whilst further developing their employability skills.
“The event supports students and employers alike by offering exhibition space and providing a pool of enthusiastic, well-qualified employees suitable to a range of sectors.”
