Robert Gordon University (RGU) has a long history of welcoming students from Turkey and the university is welcoming a growing number of International students.
To strengthen and build on these links, two members of staff from RGU’s Aberdeen Business School are travelling to Turkey to meet those interested in enrolling at the university.
Jennifer Harley, Marketing Officer for RGU’s Aberdeen Business School, and Graeme Stephen, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication, Marketing and Media will be attending six educational fairs during their trip.
Jennifer said: “Graeme and I will be attending the International Education Fairs of Turkey (IEFT) which is the leading student recruitment fair in the country.
“IEFT attracts nearly 20,000 Turkish students to each of the fairs so we are really looking forward to meeting lots of potential RGU students.
“RGU has a long history of students coming from Turkey to study a variety of subjects so I’m delighted to be attending these fairs to inform potential students about the excellent learning opportunities at the university.”
Graeme added: “Our Turkish students tell us they find Aberdeen a friendly city which caters for all lifestyles, tastes and cultures so I am really looking forward to meeting more international students who may be interested to hear more about the city and what we at RGU can offer.”
The fairs take place from Monday March 14 to Wednesday March 23. The dates and locations are available by visiting the RGU website.
Throughout the past 10 years, the International Education Fair of Turkey has grown to become the largest education exhibition in both Turkey and the Middle-East, with universities from more than 30 countries attending every year. Last year’s event welcomed over 300 exhibitors representing over 180 institutions from 35 different countries.
