Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) wide portfolio of career enhancing postgraduate study will be showcased at its open evening next week.
The university will hold a Postgraduate Open Evening on Thursday, May 12 from 6pm to 8pm at its Garthdee campus for prospective students interested in developing new skills while gaining professional accreditation.
The free event will see representatives from each of RGU’s three faculties on hand to discuss options for postgraduate, online distance learning and part-time courses including computing, engineering and life sciences to business, surveying, law, social work, art and design and nursing.
Members of academic and support staff will also be available to discuss finance, careers, services and facilities, and answer questions on how to apply.
Michael Greenhalgh, RGU’s interim director for marketing, communications and student recruitment, said: “If you are looking to progress your career or improve your job prospects, RGU has a wide range of flexible postgraduate courses available with part-time, online or full-time study options which will develop your knowledge and expertise within a specific field.
“RGU offers industry relevant postgraduate programmes which take advantage of the university's wide range of expertise in subjects including engineering, business, management, IT and health and safety.
“Our Postgraduate Open Evening provides an opportunity for individuals to get a better insight of the various programmes on offer and talk to the experts, helping to clarify your options and plan your next step to enhance your career.”
Those who attend the open evening will also have the opportunity to:

- One-to-one guidance with Careers, Placement, Student Finance and Admissions drop in desks
- Find out about research opportunities
The open evening is taking place at the Sir Ian Wood Building and Aberdeen Business School at RGU’s Garthdee campus.
Prospective students interested in any of the courses offered by Aberdeen Business School (ABS) should arrive at the ABS building, while information all other courses will be available in The Sir Ian Wood Building.
