Future entrepreneurs at Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) Aberdeen Business School are holding a Trade Fair to present their business ideas.

International Business Management students have been tasked with creating a prototype and implementing a creative business opportunity within an accelerated timeframe as part of their Business Ideas and Opportunities project.

The second year student teams will be presenting and promoting their ideas to fellow students and the business community at a Trade Fair at ABS.

The aim of the project is for the students to develop real life creative generation skills and knowledge and understanding of the characteristics of viable business opportunities.

Elizabeth Gammie, Head of Aberdeen Business School, said: “At Aberdeen Business School we aim to inspire our students to explore the world of entrepreneurial opportunity and to develop their enterprising ideas.

“We aim to create entrepreneurs to help grow the economy in Scotland and through projects like these we are hoping to equip the students with the skills required to explore a business opportunity and experience the challenges of idea generation in a practical task.

“The Trade Fair being held at Aberdeen Business School is not only visually impressive but also full of creative and enterprising ideas.”

Graham Grant, lecturer at ABS and module co-ordinator for the project, said: “I am always hugely impressed by the creativity and entrepreneurial potential that the students demonstrate throughout my module.

“We are always delighted to welcome visitors to visit the trade fair and speak to the student teams about their business ideas and look at their prototypes, which include a wide range of products, services and apps.”

If you would like to speak to the teams about their business ideas, the fair will be held in the Atrium at Aberdeen Business School from 11am to 2pm on Thursday December 1 and Friday December 2.
