A new concept to drive shoppers back into the city centre has been revealed in an attempt to boost footfall.
The Shop Aberdeen weekend which has been dubbed at the retail version of Aberdeen Restaurant Week promises a weekend of bargains from local traders who have been left on the brink of collapse.
The announcement comes days before Aberdeen City Council will make a decision about the controversial bus gates that have impacted city centre footfall.
More than 20 shops and businesses have signed up for the weekend which will provide a “much-needed boost in tough times”.
