One of the Highlands’ most popular tourist destinations, Macdonald Aviemore Resort, has unveiled a series of unique partnerships to help benefit the wider region.
The award-winning resort, nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, has developed strong links with many other local experiences and attractions including the Highland Wildlife Park, Landmark Forest Adventure Park, and the Strathspey Railway steam train.
With its central location and extensive range of amenities, Macdonald Aviemore Resort is the ideal base from which to explore everything the region has to offer. For the first time, all three partnerships are running at the same time while tickets for each attraction are provided at a discounted rate for guests staying at the resort.
The resort has also teamed up with Action Adventure Activities to offer guests a variety of outdoor pursuits suitable for thrill-seekers aged six years or older. Available on-site from April 7-21, it will include sports like archery, axe throwing, and crossbow shooting as well as family highland games and archery golf.
Meanwhile, staff are currently in talks about creating a similar partnership agreement with Cairngorm Mountain to offer mountain biking escapes and walking tours with a launch announcement expected soon.

Just seven miles from the resort, lies the Highland Wildlife Park. Operated by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, the park is home to native wildlife and endangered species from around the world, including polar bears, snow leopards and Scottish wildcats.
Located in Carrbridge, Landmark Forest Adventure Park offers a variety of thrilling indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family from exhilarating water coasters and lifelike dinosaurs to Scotland's first aerial net challenge, NetworX, as well as rope and climbing challenges.
Departing from Platform 3 at Aviemore Station, the nostalgic Strathspey Railway steam train journey spans a twenty-mile round trip to Boat of Garten and Broomhill. Passengers can travel along the original Highland Railway mainline and enjoy breathtaking views of moorland, ancient woodlands and the winding River Spey, all set against the backdrop of the Cairngorm Mountain.
