This acquisition aligns seamlessly with Redsquid's ongoing mission to enhance connectivity and communication solutions for businesses, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery.

A Gamma partner

Penstone is a long-term Gamma, further establishing the Gold Partnership Redsquid already has in place with the vendor. Together, the group now further increases its capabilities within UC services as it gets ready for the upcoming PSTN switch off in 2027.

Penstone will seamless be integrated into the Redsquid group to benefit from its carbon neutral and B Corp status, as well as unlocking the opportunities within IT and security services. Penstone customers will now have access to the wider Redsquid team including the service desk and consultancy team of over 40 specialists in services from Microsoft destinations to ISO certifications.

Sohin Raithatha, CEO of Redsquid, shared his excitement: “Welcoming Penstone into the Redsquid Community significantly enhances our expertise and capabilities in telecom and network infrastructure. Penstone's proven experience in advanced networking and telecommunications solutions will enable us to expand our service offering and provide unmatched value to our clients. Julian, Founder of Penstone, shared: "There has not been a better time for Penstone to merge company as we can see how voice and data services have merged into convergence over the years and this partnership will now give us and our customers the confidence to support them.

"Redsquid is a forward-thinking partner who have good understanding and support of IT technology which is something we have fallen short in over the years coming from a voice background.

"With the same ethos as Penstone, for putting the customer first with a nationwide engineering base, I look forward to introducing Redsquid to our customers, alongside the larger support team and product variety. “

The acquisition of Penstone was facilitated with strategic advice from Altenburg Advisory and marks Redsquid’s second acquisition of the month. With the six new team members the Redsquid group now have a total headcount of 82 with skills from mobility to cyber security.

Supported by ThinCats, this is Redsquid second acquisition this year, and fifth in the last 12 months.

Dave Sherrington, MD London and South, of ThinCats, said: “We have seen Redsquid go from strength to strength in recent years and pleased to continue our support to the business.

"The acquisitions strategically enhance the servicing offering and client base as the business broadens its reach throughout the UK. We look forward to continuing our partnership and support future growth.”

Founders Sohin Raithatha and Vince Mignacca remain as the only shareholders and will continue to lead the company, having successfully grown it over the last 18 years.
