Aberdeen-based Right People has signalled its intent with the addition of a respected industry figure to the company’s accountancy and finance division.
A leading recruitment specialist, Right People has appointed Kris Stuart as senior recruitment consultant as part of plans to grow the business. Kris, who previously worked in a similar role for another city-based recruiter, has five years’ specialist experience in accountancy and finance recruitment.
His role will initially involve developing the company’s existing client portfolio through his existing network of contacts, with a long-term view to driving the growth of the accountancy and finance side of the business.
Kris will work directly alongside Alex McLeod, director at Right People, who has nearly 20 years’ experience recruiting for the north-east finance market.
Alex McLeod said: “It’s extremely difficult to find high-quality finance recruiters in the current market; people who possess the necessary skills and level of expertise required to fully understand clients’ needs and deliver effective solutions. Therefore, we are delighted to welcome Kris to the business – someone who is well respected and has a strong reputation across the accountancy and finance market in Aberdeen and beyond.
“Looking ahead, our ambition is for Kris to run his own team within the accountancy and finance division. In the meantime, he will bring considerable knowledge of a specialist market to the team and we have complete confidence that he will prove to be an important asset for Right People as the business moves forward.”
Kris Stuart said: “I’m thrilled to have been given this opportunity to take the next step in my career. Right People has a strong reputation in the marketplace, particularly in terms of accountancy and finance recruitment, while I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work alongside, and learn from, someone with Alex’s years of experience.
“The long-term vision of the business and how the directors see this strategy developing really attracted me to Right People. The challenge of helping to grow the company’s accountancy and finance team is one that I’m thoroughly looking forward to taking on over the coming months and years.”
A former pupil at Hazlehead Academy, Kris (28) has an honours degree in Computing for Internet and Multimedia from the Robert Gordon University.
A keen sportsman, Kris has represented Scotland at youth level (under 14s) for table tennis including at the UK championships. His late father, Michael, also represented Scotland in the sport.
Established in 2008, Right People is based on North Silver Street, just off Golden Square. The business, which is led by directors Alex McLeod and Bruce Russell, currently employs 10 people.
Right People, which provides accountancy and finance personnel, is the sponsor of ACCA Scotland’s annual members’ network dinner in Aberdeen – a key event for accountancy professionals in the Granite City. The company has performed this role for the past six years on behalf of ACCA Scotland (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a global body for professional accountants.
The company has built a strong reputation across a wide range of industry sectors, including accountancy and finance, IT and oil and gas. For further information visit www.rightpeople.uk.net
