Leading North-east Solicitor Estate Agency Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (RCCW) has stepped up its long-term support for Inverurie’s Run Garioch by becoming its new Event Programme sponsor.
Since its start as a 400-runner 10K in 2005, the Garioch Sports Centre fundraiser has become a must-do local event, attracting hundreds of participants of all ages and fitness levels to its junior, 5K, 10K and half-marathon races.
RCCW’s Northeast network includes a branch on Inverurie’s North Street, not far from the event start and finish lines at the GSC on Burghmuir Drive.
RCCW’s continued support of Run Garioch underscores the firm’s dedication to not only serving the legal, property and financial needs of Inverurie and the Garioch area, but also to contributing to the physical and mental well-being of its residents.
As advocates of a healthy work–life balance, the Inverurie branch will once again be fielding a team of runners across the various distances on race day (Sunday, May 12), with colleagues in Aberdeen undertaking twice weekly training after work.
Managing Partner Callum McDonald said: “We are delighted to continue to support Run Garioch as a sponsor. This is a major event in the local calendar, and our staff and charity committee are already looking forward to the test the run provides. We are confident that the race will attract significant local support and will offer everyone involved a challenging experience.”
Inverurie Branch Principal Kimberley Smart added: “We are delighted to sponsor the event again. Run Garioch has proven over the years to be a huge success, judging not only by the number of runners but supporters too. It’s a great family day out for all.”
Run Garioch’s Race Director Graham Morrison said: “RCCW have supported Run Garioch as event patrons for many years, and we are thrilled that they have become the new sponsors of our Event Programme. Without support from dedicated local businesses like RCCW, an event like ours would not be possible.”
Morrison added: “We are also pleased to hear that so many of their runners will be taking part in the event too, and raising funds for the firm’s charity partner Friends of ANCHOR, co-incidentally one of Run Garioch’s six official charity partners. We look forward to cheering all their runners over the finish line on race day.”
