Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (RCC&W), a leading Aberdeen and North-east legal firm, has announced the appointment of four partners and a consultant.
These appointments will strengthen the frim's complete legal services offering for the commercial, corporate and private markets.
Alasdair Smith, Neil Fraser, Barbara Calderwood and Jennifer Burnett join as partners, while Gordon Davidson joins the company as a consultant. Together, they bring more than 60 years of experience to the firm.
Managing partner Keith Allan said the appointments generated an enhanced legal services offering, which represents a new chapter for the company as it continues to provide a full service for commercial, corporate and private markets.
He said: “Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace is investing in a robust and experienced team, which complements the company’s ambitions. These appointments will further boost our offering and create an enhanced client experience.”
Alasdair joins as a partner and head of the corporate department. Formerly a partner with Burness Paull for seven years, and more recently working in-house with a local oil and gas service company, he brings with him a wealth of corporate experience and knowledge.
Neil, formerly a partner with John Jackson & Dick in Hamilton, and more recently Aberdein Considine & Co in Aberdeen, will head up the firm’s employment department. With more than 14 years’ practice working with employers and employees across a range of issues, Neil will be a valuable asset to the firm’s employment, corporate and commercial teams.
Barbara joined the company as a consultant in May 2014, formerly a partner with Morton Fraser in Glasgow, she specialises in all aspects of commercial property, particularly site acquisition and sales for house builders.
Jennifer was previously a partner with Stewart & Watson in Turriff and joined RCC&W in August 2014 as an associate solicitor, dealing with all private client matters, including wills, trusts, execturies and guardianships. Jennifer has extensive local knowledge and a network of reliable connections which will prove invaluable to RCC&W. Her promotion to partner comes 12 years after Jennifer completed her traineeship with Clark & Wallace in Aberdeen.
Gordon joins the firm as a consultant, bringing a wealth of experience including 10 years as a partner with Clark & Wallace - prior to the merger with Raeburn Christie in 2004. He was previously a partner at Paull & Williamsons for 14 years and more recently a consultant with Burness Paull. Gordon returns with more than 30 years’ experience and an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of corporate and business matters.
