Esteemed football journalist Graham Hunter has become Denis Law Legacy Trust’s latest ambassador.
An internationally acclaimed and respected sports journalist, Graham is widely revered as the voice of Spanish football, having written an award-winning book on FC Barcelona and, most recently, following the Spain national team in their journey to become Euro 2024 winners.
With a career spanning over 20 years, Graham has written for newspapers and websites worldwide, including Sky Sports Spanish Football, the Scottish Mail on Sunday, ESPN and BBC Radio. Now residing in Barcelona, he also leads a hugely successful podcast with some of the biggest names in British football.
Born and raised in Aberdeen, Graham remains a staunch Aberdeen FC supporter and regularly returns to the Granite City where he is also a keen advocate of Denis Law Legacy Trust and its impactful Streetsport programme, which is run in partnership with Robert Gordon University (RGU).
Over several years, Graham has played a significant role in raising the profile of the Trust’s free-to-access programmes and activities. In addition, he has compèred the grand opening of all three of Aberdeen’s Cruyff Courts, including in 2017 with the opening of Cruyff Court Denis Law, the first facility of its kind in Scotland and a huge milestone for the charity.
Graham, who had the honour of presenting Denis Law with an honorary degree from RGU, received his own honorary degree from RGU in 2022 for his contribution to sports journalism and for raising the profile of Spanish football worldwide over the last 20 years.

Graham joins Aberdeen FC’s most successful captain, Willie Miller as an ambassador for the children’s charity.
