Phil Anderson Financial Services Ltd is celebrating after pledging its support to a prestigious bowling club competition, which hailed the winning teams of the competition at the weekend.
Phil Anderson Financial Services, which was established in 2011 and has offices in Aberdeen, Ellon and Caithness, signed a three-year contract with the Whitehall Bowling Club to help support the Aberdeen based Whitehall Invitation Pairs Tournament.
The financial firm, which specialises in mortgages, insurance, investments and pensions, agreed to be the main sponsor of the prestigious tournament for the next three years, pledging £4,500 to the event, which celebrated its 42nd successful year.
The competition, which attracts international and national players from across the UK, took place throughout July and August, with the winners being announced last weekend (Sunday, August 9, 2015).
Ronnie Duncan (Bonnyrigg) and current Commonwealth Games gold medal winner, Darren Burnett (Arbroath) won the Scottish International league 10 – 6, and Rebecca Craig (Alloa East End) and Claire Johnstin (Auchinleck) won the ladies Scottish Internationals 14 – 10. Both were international pairings.
Phil Anderson, managing director of Phil Anderson Financial services, said: “This prestigious tournament is a huge event in the bowls event calendar and is the most popular tournament in the area.
“The competition was very well attended and spectators came down to cheer on the teams as they battled it out for the winning title. Everyone played extremely well and the feedback from all has been great.”
