A popular North-east chipper has closed after a fire broke out on Monday afternoon.
Two fire appliances were sent to The Ashvale, in Bridge of Don, on Jesmond drive shortly after 1.30pm.
Images doing the rounds on social media show the interior badly damaged, though the full extent is yet to be known.
Fire engines were at the premises for nearly two hours, leaving at 3.11pm.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 1:35pm and sent two appliances.
“We left the scene at 3.11pm.”
