Kaylan is excited to announce it has become a member of Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce as it eyes growth in the Granite City.
Kaylan offers a unique range of high-performance polyurethane elastomers manufactured by Kay-Dee Engineering Plastics Ltd based in Shipley in Yorkshire.
Kay-Dee Engineering is a leading supplier of plastic parts and polyurethane products to companies both large and small throughout the world.
Established in 1979, Kay-Dee Engineering today boasts a client list that ranges from small local companies to large multi-national organisations operating throughout the world.
Kaylan is used to solve complex engineering problems in industries from the energy sector to motorsport and almost every industrial application in-between.
In 2024 there was a decision to focus on growth into the future energies and offshore traditional markets to support new technologies but also provide product where obsolescence and corrosion may be an issue.
You will already find Kaylan solving problems across the Aberdeen and Grampian region but 2025 marks a renewed investment in the region by the company and new managing director, Stuart Winship.
He said: “I joined Kaylan to deliver growth by helping engineering and service companies to find new ways to adapt and improve in this exciting sector and support Aberdeen and the area as it undergoes huge change.
"To help do this I hired Craig Walker as head of business development (offshore industries) - a well-known face and name in the energy sector and the North and North-east of Scotland whose knowledge of the market is crucial in finding ways to help customers.”
Together Kaylan will grow its presence and product offering into all industrial market sectors with a key focus on traditional oil and gas, decommissioning operations and the ongoing development of the renewable markets. Whether through direct sales or key collaborative partnerships.
A major factor in Kayan's success is, without a doubt, its commitment to customer care. Its extensive range of facilities means that it can offer bespoke material designs and a flexible support service to accommodate varying requirements.
Whether you need a one-off trial product or a mass production run of tens of thousands, and in sizes from a few kilograms to almost a tonne, Kayan is happy to help.
