As part of their plans to invest in excess of £2m over the next two years, subsea inspection specialists PMAC (Process Monitoring and Control) have added structural integrity inspection services to their growing portfolio with the acquisition of Gamm@chek International Ltd (formerly Pro-sub Services Ltd.) securing the positions of the existing team whilst adding four more new positions.
Founded in 1992 Gamm@chek are widely established as the de facto 'standard’ for sub-sea flooded member detection (FMD) recognised by all major certifying authorities, including Bureau Veritas who awarded Gamm@chek their much coveted ‘Type Approval’ in March 1998 and revalidated in Nov. 2009.
PMAC operations director Gareth Allan; "Bringing Gamm@chek’s FMD capabilities into the group further expands our service capabilities, our operational footprint, and fits with our objectives of creating a multi-skilled global inspection workforce, driving costs down to the ultimate benefit of our customers”.
John (Nick) Nekrews, Gamm@chek’s founder: "The opportunity to become part of an inspection group with global growth aspirations was too good to turn down. I’m really looking forward to fully integrating our FMD services within the PMAC Group. I see the role of multi-tasking service engineers as the only way forward for the industry, especially in these difficult times".
Gareth: “We are continuing to buck the trend, by listening and working with our clients, securing technology and know-how which help us deliver highly trained multi-tasking personnel. In the next 12 months we are rolling out across the Middle East and possibly Australia and creating an additional facility in the Far East, a strategy that will support our ambition to grow PMAC into a truly integrated global inspection services company.
