Plexus Holdings attends ‘Celebration of Scotland’ event in Beijing

Plexus Holdings PLC, the AIM quoted, Scottish based oil and gas engineering services business and owner of the proprietary POS-GRIP® friction-grip method of wellhead engineering, announces following its recent licence agreement with Yantai Jereh Oilfield Services Group Co., Ltd (‘Jereh’), a US$6.9bn Chinese oil services provider (see press release 2 July 2015), that it was invited to attend the Innovation Showcase and the ‘Celebration of Scotland’ events last night in Beijing, which was hosted by the First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon, in collaboration with the Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development for Industry.

The event which Plexus attended, saw the Company’s recent Jereh licencing agreement mentioned in the key note address by the First Minister of Scotland, was focused on the continuing development of business relations between Scotland and China.

Plexus’ CEO Ben Van Bilderbeek said, “Our recent Jereh licencing agreement was a transformational milestone for Plexus which saw our Scottish based company continue to increase the geographic reach of our best in class POS-GRIP wellhead equipment. In addition to Scottish Enterprise and SDI, we would also like to add a special thank you to the UK Trade and Investment Office which made the original introduction to Jereh and also collaborated on Plexus’ licencing agreement; and in-turn helped Plexus’ move into China which at a forecast regional oil and gas offshore capital expenditure of US£146bn from 2012-2018 demonstrates and exponential growth opportunity for our Company.”
