Peterson and Blue Water Shipping agree formal partnership

Peterson has announced it has entered into a formal partnership with Blue Water Shipping for the Caribbean region to work exclusively with each other to deliver customers’ local and international project logistics requirements.

Through the MOU, Peterson and Blue Water Shipping will work together to provide freight management, marine agency, import and export brokerage, materials management and handling services to clients.

Peterson already has a strong presence in the Caribbean and North America supporting local customers and major contractors with safe, reliable and value-added logistics solutions from offices in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Surinam and Mexico.

Blue Water Shipping is a global provider of transport and logistics to the oil, gas and energy sectors. In recent years the company has increased its operation in the Caribbean – servicing a number of key customers across the region.

The companies currently jointly support multiple production companies, drillers, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, original equipment manufacturers and service providers in the region and have designed the exclusive partnership in order to provide customers with a single source project logistics solution.

Both companies are privately owned and share an extensive track record, long-term vision, and strong commitment to the local development of staff and capability.

Commenting on the agreement, Peterson regional director Maarten Spiljard, said: “This partnership with Blue Water Shipping will ensure our customers benefit from fully embedded local services that are delivered according to international standards. Collectively we will utilise our strategic expertise and advanced technologies to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients.”

Brent Patterson, Blue Water Shipping’s regional director for energy and projects Americas, commented on the partnership:

“By joining forces, we will be able to provide the high-quality transport and logistics services that the industry requires. Both companies have a strong focus on creating the right solutions for each customer, and by bringing our different range of in-house experts and experience together, we can manage and execute projects for the growing energy sector in the Caribbean.”
