The Personal Growth Collective, founded by Stacey Will, recently ran a session for Aberdeen FC Women to help the players build their confidence and self-belief, with the aim of enhancing their performance on the pitch.

The session focused on helping the team identify their individual strengths, understand what might be holding them back mentally, and shift their mindset to turn challenges into opportunities.

AFCW manager, Scott Booth, said: “Training for mental wellbeing is often just as important as our training on the pitch. Stacey’s session was all about self-belief and confidence.

"It helped the girls to recognise their strengths and weaknesses, identify what may be limiting them mentally and how to turn negatives into positives.

"We’re extremely grateful to Stacey and hope she’ll be back for another session once the girls have put some of the learnings from her session into practice.

“The group is benefiting from more consistency and we’re getting more focused and competitive with each game. Our new signings have already had a positive impact and we’re looking forward to the next few games and to the rest of the season.”

Stacey Will, founder of The Personal Growth Collective, said: “I’m passionate about supporting women to grow and develop, both personally and professionally.

"Working with Aberdeen FC Women was a great experience – they were motivated to push themselves and each other. Confidence is something we can all work on, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they use what we covered in the session, both on and off the pitch.”
