PCL Live has been named a finalist ahead of the Scotland final of the UK StartUp Awards 2025.
The UK StartUp Awards was launched to recognise the booming start-up scene across the UK, which has accelerated over the last few years with 846,000 new businesses founded in the UK in 2024. Over 750 businesses have been shortlisted for this year’s UK StartUp Awards, who all contribute significantly to the economy, creating over 4,600 new jobs and generating annual sales of £200million.
PCL Live, founded by Adam Wilson in 2022, specialises in providing cutting-edge audiovisual solutions for corporate installations and live events. From high-end video walls and conference AV setups to bespoke control room solutions and large-scale event production, the company has rapidly grown to become a leader in the AV industry.
The business has been shortlisted for Business to Business Services StartUp of the Year and Innovative StartUp of the Year in Scotland.
Adam Wilson, founder of PCL Live, said: "Being shortlisted for two awards at the UK StartUp Awards is an incredible achievement and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. At PCL Live, we set out to push the boundaries of what’s possible in AV technology while delivering exceptional service to our clients. To be recognised for both innovation and business excellence is truly rewarding.”
The cohort of finalists will be considered for regional prizes by a panel of seasoned judges with experience founding or supporting entrepreneurial ventures. The winners from each region will then go on to compete at the first-ever UK final, held at Ideas Fest – the Glastonbury for Business festival – in Hertfordshire on 12th September 2025.
