St Margaret’s School for Girls is excited to welcome several new families to the school on Friday, September 6 for its working open morning, in which prospective students and their parents got to see what a normal school day is like.
Working open mornings operate differently from regular open mornings, in that the school is still in operation for existing pupils.
The event will tour several groups, capably lead by a team of prefects and staff, around the St Margaret’s campus in the heart of central Aberdeen.
Families will also get the opportunity to see the outdoor spaces and play areas in which the children, especially younger children, play creatively after working hard in the classroom. The spacious, secure, creative and pleasant outdoor area is always a huge success with visitors.
Head of St Margaret’s, Ms Anna Tomlinson, shared her thoughts on the busy day: “We are delighted to welcome so many visitors to our September open morning. Prospective families can, of course, come to visit the school on any day by appointment.”
Open mornings allow those interested in becoming a part of the school community to ask questions and see for themselves that St Margaret’s has a lively and supportive culture, which challenges and inspires girls to be the best they can be.
The benefits of an all girls' education are manifold. Research proves that girls learn best when they can feel confident, competent and happy. In girls' schools, teachers can create the right emotional atmosphere to optimise participation and maximise progress. With only girls in the classroom and on the sports field, they have the freedom to be - and become - themselves, and to explore fully the opportunities available to them.
The school accepts applications all year round so if you are interested in your daughter attending St Margaret’s visit their website at www.st-margaret.aberdeen.sch.uk to register for the open day or to schedule your visit at a time of your convenience.
