Oil & Gas UK has revealed the outstanding performers who make up the shortlist of finalists for the 10th anniversary of the trade body’s prestigious awards, sponsored by Shell U.K. Limited.
Winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremony at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Thursday November 3 – an event which regularly attracts well over 500 guests from throughout the oil and gas industry.
Stephen Marcos Jones, Oil & Gas UK’s director of business excellence, said: “This special opportunity to recognise the talent, ingenuity and enterprise of people and companies is more important than ever when times are tough. Their commitment to industry efforts to improve efficiency will play an important and continuing role in restoring competitiveness to the sector.
“There are already impressive examples of innovative work practices and new ideas in action, which Oil & Gas UK’s Efficiency Task Force is championing. However, the awards ceremony will present new and different projects which will demonstrate the achievements of this year’s outstanding individuals and enterprising companies.
“It is always challenging for the judges to draw up a shortlist of finalists from such a range of excellent candidates, having received almost 100 nominations in total across the categories, and we look forward to sharing their success stories with the wider industry in November.
"I would like to thank all those companies and individuals that have taken time to submit nominations this year. The response from the industry to the 2016 Oil & Gas UK awards has been terrific and clearly indicates the high calibre of companies and individuals working in the industry today to maximise economic recovery from the UKCS.”
