Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) is pleased to announce that Oil & Gas UK will bring their Oil and Gas Industry Conference, ‘MER UK: The next 40 years’ to the Venue this week, 17th and 18th June 2015.
Over 500 delegates are expected to attend this unique two-day Conference which will highlight, define and debate the critically important issues facing upstream oil and gas exploration and development on the UK Continental Shelf today; and also features an Exhibition running alongside. Combining main plenary sessions with focused parallel streams, this gives delegates the ability to tailor each day to their own areas of interest and expertise.
The Conference offers the chance to hear from key industry leaders including keynote speaker Andy Samuel, Chief Executive, Oil and Gas Authority, government representatives, specialists and regulators; and allows delegates the opportunity to be part of the solution to maximise economic recovery from the UK Continental Shelf and share your views on topics affecting the industry.
Oil & Gas UK’s Business Development Director, Stephen Marcos Jones said: “The Conference will take a unique look at the challenges and opportunities that face the industry, offering key insights into the solutions that will help the UK oil and gas industry maximise economic recovery over the coming decades. We are proud to be, again, holding our annual conference in Aberdeen – the heart of Europe’s oil and gas industry. Last year’s conference gave our sector a great opportunity to debate its future - we hope that this year will be even better and look forward to meeting the delegates in just over a week.”
AECC Director of Sales and Marketing, Louise Lonie, said: “It is great to welcome Oil and Gas UK to the venue once again. The Oil and Gas Industry Conference is a notable annual event; bringing together industry professionals to discuss and debate key issues facing the oil and gas industry. The summer months bring a host of significant energy industry events to AECC including Devex, Decom Offshore and Offshore Europe.”
