Organised by Scottish Enterprise’s Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS), Oil & Gas UK and supported by the Energy Jobs Task Force, this conference on October 27 will focus on how the Oil and Gas Sector is working to bring about the changes required to develop new ways of working; the role of the supply chain in helping bring about such change; learning from other sectors and support available to help companies respond to the current environment.

We are all aware of the challenges that the sector currently faces – a lower oil price coupled with a high cost base which has room for significant improvements in efficiency. Today, more than ever, there is a need to maximise value, improve efficiency and engage all parts of the sector, especially the supply chain, to bring in the transformational change that is required.

Delegates will hear from leaders from all parts of the Oil and Gas sector as well as from other manufacturing sectors who will highlight how they have dealt with similar challenges. The agenda will cover:

  • The critical role of leadership in creating a culture of responsibility, ownership and continuous improvement.
  • The vital importance of cooperation to maximise value and deliver change including case studies and views from outside Oil and Gas.
  • The range of support available from Scottish Enterprise, SMAS and partners to assist the supply chain.

This unique event will allow delegates to hear about progress on the cost efficiency agenda and the need to drive value; learn what good practice in other industries could mean for their own business as well as getting information on what support and advice is available to help you at this current time.

The event is on October 27, from 8:30am - 4:30pm at the AECC, and is free to attend.
