OEG Offshore Pty Ltd announces the appointment of Kingston Catering & Providoring Co. Ltd based in New Zealand, as local partner to expand and support customer operations in New Zealand.
OEG Offshore is a leading specialist provider of cargo carrying units (CCUs) and A60 modules to the energy and mining industries. OEG Offshore Pty Ltd has invested in excess of NZD1 million into the venture allowing Kingston to provide a full range of Cargo Carrying Units (CCUs) including offshore containers, baskets, half heights, chemical tanks, waste units, chemical injection pumps and A60 cabins rated to the leading international standards DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079 and the national Maritime New Zealand Rule 24E.
New Plymouth based Kingston Catering & Providoring Co. Ltd. has been servicing the offshore oil & gas and marine industry in New Zealand for over 40 years, providing logistics, specialised personnel hire, catering, procurement, general ship, drilling rig shore based supplies and vessel logistics.
OEG Offshore Chief Executive John Heiton said, “We are delighted to have Kingston as our partner to grow our CCU business in New Zealand showing our commitment to the country and our clients. Kingston’s many years of experience and contacts provide vital local knowledge to support client requirements across New Zealand’s offshore energy sectors, expanding OEG from beyond its current operations in locations throughout Australasia.”
Kingston’s Managing Director Terry Sigvertsen commented, "We are proud to assist and represent OEG as they launch their class leading specialist offshore handling equipment range into the New Zealand market. Equipment designed to this level has sorely been missing locally here for a number of years, we see this opportunity as a complement to our existing business activities and look to further build the longstanding relationships we have here with the operators and drilling contractors to better service our offshore oil & gas customer base .”
The agreement comes as part of OEG Offshore’s global expansion strategy, which has also witnessed the acquisition earlier this year of Perth based Oilfield Resource Rentals (ORR) and Offshore Cyrogenic Services (OCS) which significantly enhanced OEG Offshore’s product and service offering.
