North-east restaurant group recognised for impeccable customer service at respected business awards

A leading food and drink group is celebrating winning a top accolade at a prestigious business awards ceremony.

Beetroot Restaurants Ltd, which includes Aberdeen-based restaurants Adelphi Kitchen and The Courtyard, along with outside catering company, Eat Beetroot, was awarded the Excellence in Customer Service award at the Northern Star Business Awards 2015.

The awards ceremony, which is an annual event organised by the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC), recognises companies around the North-east for exceptional accomplishments.

Following two successful city centre restaurant ventures and establishing a well-known outside catering company, Eat Beetroot has continued to impress the public with its outstanding commitment to customer service, and new and exciting food and drink concepts it brings to the city.

Adelphi Kitchen, Aberdeen’s only dirty cooking style restaurant, which was established in 2013, is the most recent addition to the Beetroot Restaurants group and already boats a one AA rosette due to the excellent quality of service and food and drink offering it provides customers.

Chris Tonner, managing director of Beetroot Restaurants, said: “I am delighted that we have won this award at the Northern Star. The team has worked extremely hard over the past few years to ensure we deliver the best customer service possible to our clients, be that in the restaurant or when we are catering for large weddings or events.

“It is humbling to know that all of our hard work has been recognised by the business community, and we are looking forward in continuing to develop the business in new and exciting ways. Food and drink is a huge part of our city’s offerings so it is fantastic to be commended for this.”

Chief executive of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce, Robert Collier, said: “Beetroot Restaurant is a worthy winner of the Excellence in Customer Service award, which recognises that meeting customers’ needs is a priority throughout the entire business.

“Their investment in staff development reflects their commitment to enhancing their customer’s enjoyment and introducing a unique dining experience to the people of Aberdeen.”
