Twelve companies have reached the final of the 2016 DF Communications Business Golf League at St Andrews.
The teams will tee off at the Home of Golf’s Castle Course on Wednesday, September 21, with funds being raised for MNDScotland, a charity which helps those affected by motor neurone disease.
DF Communications, an award-winning mobile phone and communications specialist to small, medium and large businesses, is the organiser of the league for a fifth consecutive year.
Iain Powell, key account manager at DF Communications, said: “We’re thoroughly looking forward to the final of our golf league which always proves to be a great occasion.
“Each year, the league provides a high standard of golf and a fantastic opportunity for players to network with each other and establish positive relationships.
“We’re now down to 12 teams, having started the league with 30 and we’re delighted to be returning to the Castle Course which always provides a stern test for the players.
“It promises to be a great day out for everyone involved and we’re raising money for a worthy cause in the process.”
The finalists this year are Aberdeen Business Network, ITB Competence Assurance, McLeod & Aitken, Santander Corporate and Commercial, AP Systems, RAWC, Knight Frank LLP, Premier Oil, Craig Group, Trump International Golf Links, Falck Safety Services and DF Communications.
Teams tee off from 11.30am competing in a stableford format whereby points for each team’s two players will be combined. The team with the highest score will be crowned winners of the DF Communications Business Golf League.
Thirty companies from across the north-east teed-off at a variety of local courses since April. The Business Golf League was played in a fourball format with five teams in each division. The winners and runners-up from each group went through to the finals day.
