Several community events are to be held as part of the next stage of developing neighbourhood plans in the Tillydrone, Torry and Middlefield areas of Aberdeen.
They include:
Tillydrone: Saturday 22 August 2015, 10am – 1pm, Riverbank School
Middlefield: Saturday 22 August 2015, 11am – 1pm, Manor Park Community Centre
Torry: Saturday 29 August 2015, 11am – 1pm, Torry Academy (venue tbc)
The events will provide feedback on recent engagement exercises in each area, and will include summaries of key issues taken from local people.
Aberdeen City Council Regeneration and Transport Spokesman Councillor Ross Grant said: “These events mark the next steps of our regeneration agenda for these areas, and is linked to the very successful community engagement sessions which were held over the past few months.
“It’s very important the people who locally take part as their input helps shape the future of their areas.
“We want people who live in these three communities to help develop and implement plans in their neighbourhood.
“These are an opportunity for everyone to get involved the early stages of that process by sharing information and views on a vision for each area, the specific needs of the community and identify priorities and key themes for inclusion in a shared plan for the neighbourhood.”
From the events, it is planned a 10-year vision for each area will be formed, along with priorities and key themes for developing neighbourhood plans.
