Aberdeen-based energy solutions company, nexos, organisational growth and transformation sees award worthy recognition.
Aberdeen-based energy solutions company nexos has been shortlisted for HR Team of the Year at The cHeRries Awards 2025—a prestigious event celebrating excellence in HR, training, and recruitment across Scotland’s energy and business sectors.
As a D2Zero company, nexos is committed to delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient solutions while supporting the industry’s transition to a lower-carbon future. With a 1,200-strong workforce spread across 39 customer locations onshore and offshore—as well as offices in Aberdeen, Hull, and Jakarta—the HR team has played a critical role in supporting the company’s workforce as it pivots to reflect the evolving energy landscape.
One of the team’s most significant achievements over the past year was supporting nexos’ major rebrand, transitioning from Global E&C to nexos. This transformation was far more than just a name change—it involved renegotiating contracts, implementing new policies, and seamlessly rolling out the new brand identity across multiple locations. Ensuring a smooth transition for employees, customers, and stakeholders was a huge undertaking, and the HR team played a pivotal role in successfully delivering this change while maintaining business continuity.
Further strengthening nexos’ position in the industry, the company also acquired OSL Consulting Engineers, bringing in 150 highly skilled engineers and support staff to enhance its capabilities and expand its offering in the energy sector.
Beyond this, the team has championed initiatives that foster a positive, people-first culture. Employees are empowered to recognise and celebrate their colleagues through the Special Thanks & Recognition (ST*R) Awards, which spotlight those who go above and beyond in living nexos’ core values:
✅ Resolute on Safety and Quality
✅ Inspiring Creativity and Hunger
✅ Encouraging Humility
✅ Demonstrating Integrity and Respect
✅ Creating Opportunities for Our People
The HR business function also leads the Employee Referral Scheme, a key initiative designed to attract high-calibre candidates who align with nexos’ cultural aspirations—an essential factor in a fast-moving, ever-evolving industry. With highly active operations and constant recruitment needs, this initiative reinforces their commitment to building a strong, values-driven workforce.
“We’re incredibly proud of our HR team for this well-earned recognition,” said Kelly Golightly, HR Director at nexos. “Their dedication and expertise have been instrumental in ensuring our people feel valued and supported, while also driving nexos forward through a period of significant change and growth.”
The winners will be announced at The cHeRries Awards ceremony in Aberdeen on Thursday, 12th June.
Congratulations to the nexos HR team on this fantastic achievement—best of luck!
