New member 'entrepreneur' aims to save lives worldwide

Not being visible at night is one of the main contributing factors that results in a pedestrian or cyclist being killed or injured every hour in the UK.

With this knowledge in mind, local entrepreneur Sooz Chirino of ’SanSooz’ has created a fashionable solution aimed to help prevent these terrible road incidents from happening.

Their range features innovative reflective outdoor clothing and accessories of the highest quality; which are like nothing you’ve seen before. The use of innovative technology allows them to incorporate reflective materials into their designs. The products are reflective under direct light from sources such as car headlights, however remain normal, attractive and fashionable at other times. This is a breakthrough in merging fashion and function; something that could potentially save lives worldwide.

Founder Sooz says “Our mission is for you to be safe, seen and stylish. We intend to keep you fashionable by day and highly visible at night with our unique designs, giving drivers vital seconds to take preventative actions in these dark nights”.

SanSooz’s aim is to give support to adults, children, cyclists, busy commuters and vulnerable pedestrians. They have even created a reflective dog coat for your four legged friends.

They will be beginning their journey with an ambitious crowdfunding campaign to raise £200,000. This will enable them to fund their clothing and accessories for volume production. They will also be able to continue with their research and development for future products and be able to expand their lines. This can only be achieved if they are given crucial support by local businesses and individuals in the community.

To join SanSooz on their journey to help the nation stay safe, seen and stylish, you will find them on www.crowdfunder.co.uk/SanSooz for a four week campaign, starting on March 31, 2016.

About Sooz

Sooz is a local lass and prior to launching SanSooz was happily working as a fashion/textiles & art/design lecturer at NESCOL. After hearing too many tragic stories about people being seriously injured or killed due to drivers not being able to see them in the dark, she decided to take the plunge and follow her idea of creating fashionable reflective clothing.

As with any business start-up, Sooz has experienced a lot of ups and downs. From the lows of health problems to the highs of attracting support from Business Gateway and Scottish Enterprise, she has been on a long journey to get SanSooz up and running. SanSooz is ready to go and help the nation be safe, seen and stylish.
