North-east Scotland has a clear ambition to transform into a globally recognised and integrated energy cluster, focussed on accelerating net zero emissions through energy transition activities. ETZ Ltd is a private sector led, not for profit company, incorporated in April 2021 to drive the vision of transforming North-east Scotland into a global energy transition leader and a net exporter of energy transition technologies and skills.

ETZ Ltd has engaged with 18 UKCS operators and identified key GHG emission challenge areas to present to the supply chain as four opportunities on a quarterly basis over the next year. In response to the published opportunities, supply chain companies with an operational presence in North-east Scotland are invited to propose existing products and services that can materially contribute to reducing operators’ GHG emissions and help meet UK net zero targets.

Championed by Serica Energy on behalf of the full operator cohort, the first opportunity is to identify existing products and services that can materially contribute to reducing operators’ current and future flaring and venting rates. The scope relates to UKCS production facilities and associated infrastructure.
