New city hotel plays part in supporting the Music Hall

Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel has pledged support of Aberdeen Performing Arts and The Music Hall by becoming the latest benefactor of the 1822 Club Corporate Sponsorship programme.

The financial support aids the transformation of the city’s Music Hall – a national treasure that has been at the heart of cultural and civic life for almost 200 years and is due to reopen this month having been closed for refurbishment for the past two years. Murray Todd, general manager at Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel, commented: “As a new hotel in the city centre we feel strongly about supporting our neighbours and like-minded businesses. The renovation of The Music Hall is a fantastic project and we are extremely proud to be lending a helping hand to what is due to be a great venue for the area.”

Craig Thompson, development manager at Aberdeen Performing Arts, added: “We are really pleased to have Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel on board as a partner, helping us to preserve and enhance the Music Hall’s heritage for future generations to come.

“Without sponsors such as Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel and many other corporate partners we wouldn’t be able to deliver this regeneration project that will play a significant part of the lives of many, bring a diverse range of arts and cultural programmes to Aberdeen and future proof the local economy.”

Aberdeen Performing Arts is a charity and funds donated go towards arts projects in schools, youth theatre and youth music programmes and working in communities with vulnerable adults and young people. For more information click here.
